Delzone ZO900 UV ozone generator for IG or AG pools is a low-output, low-concentration UV ozone generator. It is utilized as a secondary oxidizer with chlorine or bromine being the main oxidizer. It also can be used as a water polisher, chloramine reducer, or in some cases a filter degreaser/cleaner. In order to understand the importance of ozonators you must first understand what it is they do.What we call "Ozone" gas is created when oxygen is exposed to ultraviolet light. You may know it as the same gas that makes up the protective layer outside the planet's atmosphere. When this "ozone gas" is distributed throughout your pool or spa water it simulates a strong sanitizer that eradicates almost all of the bacteria found in the water. Water that has been ozonated stays clearer and fresher for a greater amount of time than water that is only cleaned by chlorine or bromine.
